I bought it as a .256 Gibbs magnum, which is a 6.5x57 with 2mm cut off the neck. Some rifles shoot the 6.5x57 fine due to generous neck/throat dimensions on vintage British rifles. I do need to chamber cast it but nothing appears to have been altered to the naked eye.
