I know I read about this many years ago. It was a woman hunting with a Savage M1899. She was using a tang sight and either shooting uphill or downhill. Might have been a .22HP or a .250. Anyway, the tang sight reportedly hit her eye. I don't recall if she lost the eye. A fellow collector vaguely recalls the story. He thought perhaps the shooter was Mrs. Crossman. Anyone recall the details and know where the story was told?
