Tom, regarding the top rib availability, my 1925 16 ga. FWE Field Grade has what I would think is the raised solid rib. It was completed on my birthday (month and day, not year. crazy) in '25, according to the information I was provided by the former owner, a LCSCA member.

I'm in the field today but will post a clear picture of the barrels and top rib this evening here. Maybe you could help me resolve what seems to me to be conflicting information.
