Around 50 years ago I bought a used Remington model 1900 double 12ga at a gun show. I paid $125 and have carried it ever since. It's a trap model with 2 3/4" factory chamber, extractors and double triggers in full and full. It has no engraving, no gold inlays infact it has nothing fancy about it. But it's fired thousands of shells while hunting and never had a problem. It will serve the next generation after me and probably the one after that as well. A best shotgun from any maker would not have served me any better.
