My take is going to be slightly different. That most certainly is a Westley Richards front sight. Westley may or may not have had anything to do with sights installation. I do not think they did and I do not think it is a Westley rifle. The British signed their barrels, either with the firms name or sometimes with "shot and sighted by....", my personal belief is that you have a Westley Richards sight installed on the Ross SDS that originated on another rifle. Also notice that the only item engraved on the whole rifle iis the front sight. Just my view, I have been wrong before.
