That gun is now owned by a good friend of mine here in Nebraska. When he got it, it was slightly off face and had 2 1/2" chambers even tho marked 2 3/4. H&H took care of both problems immediately and without complaint.

The letter from Purdey's states that the little 28 was made up as one of a matched pair. They were marked "5" and "6" because "obviously, the gentleman already had four other Purdey guns." I love that quote, it is so upper crust British.
