I've owned this Sauer for a few years now and would like to know when it was manufactured and model number. I hunted grouse with it this year and it peaked my interest in knowing more about this neat shotgun. I'm new to the site and will try to post some photos (couldn't figure it out, I have them in my picture files??) I guess an idea of its value, if possible, would be nice as well?
It is a 16 gauge, 2 1/2 chamber with 29 1/2 inch barrels, Serial No. 220711, barrels are almost like new inside and out, sidelocks breach and trigger guard have moderate amount of engraving and show some patina and very little to no case hardening.
