Lloyd,
Probably not as chic a gun as you are looking for, but Husqvarna made some very nice hammer guns. I have 2 M51 Huskies that are well made and easy to shoot. Both of mine have relatively high dimensions for older guns - 1 1/2 x 2 3/8. These are top lever back action guns. The second one I just got and the wood and metal are at least 95%. They are 12 gauge, 29.5” barrels and weigh 7 pounds. I just use them for target shooting, but I wouldn’t hesitate to use them on game farm birds. I was pleasantly surprised the first time I pulled the locks off of a Husky - everything was polished and wonderfully fit.
There are several dandy Francotte pigeon guns at Steve Barnett Fine Guns that would be great for shooting pigeons of any kind.
