Okay, "Sauer action" and "custom build" mean it's a DR conversion on a shotgun action. The quality of work on these runs the gamut. If you're not truly expert, I'd suggest that you not attempt to judge one on your own. In my experience, the best of these are worth about what they cost to build, and most are worth less.

I recommend that you take some time and educate yourself before you jump. There's a reason for the big difference in value between a "custom" built DR converted from a shotgun, and a double rifle built to be a double rifle from the start. It's also possible that such a piece would be adequate for what you want to do with it. Maybe not. This is one place where you get what you pay for.

To answer your question, I can only tell you what my view would be of it for my own use. I'd say "no". If well done, such conversions can be appropriate for BPEs. I wouldn't be comfortable with full nitro.
