Heads up...Vintage Cup information is now online. The 16th Annual Vintage Cup is back at Addieville East Farm in Mapleville, Rhode Island this September (2012). Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday September 27th, 28th, 29th & 30th 2012. I plan on attending as I have not missed a Vintage Cup yet. Please take a minute to review the venue and events. I hope to go for the first time this year.... I doubt if I'll shoot,but would like to experience the event,& cheer on my fellow NH'er Mal McGregor in his often successful pursuit of Silver...GO MAL!  oh yes ,n look at a few Guns too!! What's the daily $ for just lookin'? Found the event fees, but not the daily gate price cheers Franc

Honestly Mal doesn't need anybody cheering for him.
He shoots way too good already.
If you would come to heckle him it would no doubt be appreciated by many many shooters!
I think gate is $20 per day.
PS - You should shoot...I am a mediocre shot but I love shooting the course!

We are looking forward to being there with a heap of lovely guns, cases and accessories.
It will be my first time at this most original venue for the VC and it will be good to see a fresh slice of the good ol' US of A.
Some of the usual faces have said that they won't be exhibiting, 'the VC is dead' and all that tosh!
More fool them, I say!
I'll be delighted to have less competition!

Toby, any chance you could bring me over a descent Greener GP Single 12 Bore w/longish bbls for a reasonable price?...I will buy it if its a nice one...seriously!

It will be a great thrill to at last go to this thing.
Perhaps I will shoot after all, but I'm out of practise...badly.

Frank, you should go, and you should shoot. I went for the first time in 2008 without knowing a soul. I only shot in a couple of events, but I met wonderful people out on the course to shoot with who had no problem chatting with a new-comer and ignoring my poor shooting. I met many people that year who have become friends since (including the illustrious Toby and many members of the Carolina Vintagers).
My only regret from my first trip to the VC is not shooting more. And I'm disappointed I can't make it this year, but I'll try to be there next year.
